Unfortunately, this year I can only give the good news that the calendar year of has probably ended by the time you read this column. Loss of anticipated revenue quickly became the number one concern of the National and various almost all of the state associations. Here in Illinois, we were forced to cancel our Hall of Fame Banquet in April and reschedule for October only to have to change again. We have already scheduled our December Executive Committee meeting as a virtual meeting. And since last years Hall of Fame inductions were cancelled, those inductees will hopefully be honored this year if we can have a banquet and we will table this years nominations and selection until next year.
The Illinois Premier Baseball organization is comprised of the common teamwork culture between owners, instructors, coaches, parents, and players. Illinois on Wednesday added new restrictions for recreational sports for both youths and adults beginning next month. Pritzker said the state will be "restricting youth and adult recreational organized sports," including school-based sports, beginning Aug. The restrictions do not include professional or collegiate sports. Under the new guidance , each sport will be categorized into three "risk levels" - high, medium and low - determined by "the amount of contact between athletes and their proximity during play.
Nate has coached many youth travel teams locally and is a very motivating teacher. Nate specializes in hitting and fielding and has a number of pitching students as well. He assists and directs many of the large and small general baseball clinics.
